Welcome To Tupper Martial Arts Academy !

We are so excited to help you on your martial arts and fitness journey.

We offer martial arts and fitness programs at the Alvin Recreation Center, as well as enrichment martial arts programs for preschool and school age children at local daycare centers and schools.

Throughout the years, we have fine tuned and honed in our training to focus on practical self-defense, fitness and conditioning, and character development. All of this is meant to instill a growth mindset in our students that will help them become life long learners and always strive for mental, physical, and spiritual balance.

Martial Arts

Our martial arts program has been designed, pressure tested, and modified over the years to create a system of self defense that focuses on practicality, efficiency, and effectiveness. Utilizing a core foundation of Tae Kwon Do, we integrate concepts, skills, and techniques from other styles such as Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Kickboxing, Russian martial arts, tactical defense systems, and Bruce Lee’s philosophy of Jeet Kune Do to mold a well rounded fighter that is capable of defending themselves while standing, on the ground, and everything in between, whether it is against one attacker, or several.

Kids' | Martial Arts Classes

ages 5-12

Our youth martial arts classes offer a safe environment for students to focus on learning practical and effective self-defense skills, as well as powerful strikes, and kicks. Each class begins with an age-appropriate life lesson discussing the importance of character skills, including respect, courtesy, discipline, and courage. Students will earn Stripe and Belt Ranks as they progress through our system toward Black Belt…and beyond!

Teen/Adult | Martial Arts Classes

ages 13 & up

This class is designed to incorporate overall fitness, health, and wellness in with our unique system of martial arts and self defense training. Build your flexibility, strength, and endurance with us as you advance in Belt Ranks and learn practical and effective skills that can help you stay safe!

Preschool | Martial Arts Classes

ages 3½ to entering Kindergarten

An introduction to martial arts! This class will give our youngest students a basic foundation of skills such as balance, agility, speed, coordination, focus, and discipline. These youngsters will also learn our beginning level of kicks, strikes, blocks, and self-defense skills. Each class will begin with an age-appropriate life lesson that focuses on important character skills like respect, courtesy, discipline, and courage. This class will enhance our young students’ training skills and allow for a smoother transition into our Kids’ Martial Arts classes.

Cardio Kickboxing

This 30-minute class is a cardio fitness workout that uses martial arts techniques to elevate the heart rate, burn calories, and build endurance! Coordinated with music, this program begins with a warm up before moving into basic movements and combinations of strikes, kicks, resistance exercises, and mobility drills before finally cooling down with some light stretching. *NOTE: This is not a self-defense class. This is a fitness class that incorporates martial arts skills into the workout.

Personal Fitness Training

As you look to improve, or just begin, your active lifestyle, you might see the need for accountability and coaching. Anthony Tupper is a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). Schedule a fitness and wellness consultation with him, either at your home or our location in Alvin, to build a proper regimen of fitness, nutrition, and accountability.
